Week Three Prompt

Guess what, friends!? You’re about to write a pantoum! Woohoo! This is my favorite form so I’m going to give you some advice: f you don't already know, the first line of a pantoum is also the LAST line of the pantoum, so come up with a killer line that you don’t mind opening AND simultaneously CLOSING a poem with and the rest is CAKE. I also recommend you build up lines that close instead of trying to let them roll into the next line. It’ll make your job much easier. There is a template below that will guide you. If you’re brave, you can go longer, but there is absolutely NO need.

PROMPT:

if you create lists of lines so that you can simply orchestrate where they fall within the pantoum's structure and it'll save you a lot of stress/time.

1. Write down a lie you were told growing up

2. Three truths you learned on your own.

3. Someone else's truth that they are not aware of.

4. A recurring image you dream of.

5. Where you won't go.
